April Cottage
April Cottage is a lovely renovated period cottage set in the popular Purbeck village of Langton Matravers. It is built of Purbeck stone under a stone slate roof and dates from the late eighteenth century. Much of the surrounding area is owned by the National Trust and is designated as being of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The coastal cliffs and foreshore (known as the Jurassic coast), between Studland in Dorset and Exmouth in East Devon, have been awarded World Heritage Site status.

It offers comfortable accommodation on three floors for up to six people, comprising of a living room, kitchen, bathroom, three bedrooms, garden and courtyard. We would prefer you not to smoke in the Cottage. We cannot accommodate pets in the cottage.The cottage is one of a terrace of three, situated at right angles to the road where there is easy parking for one or two cars, and has full gas central heating and double glazing.

The village of Langton Matravers is two or three miles inland from Swanage and is set high up in the Purbeck Hills. It is possible to walk to the cliffs at Dancing Ledge (a popular beauty spot) using footpaths from the village, a distance of about a mile and a half. Office/general store and a pub that provides food. There is also another public house offering food at Kingston about two miles away, whilst Worth Matravers, Langton's sister village, is only one mile away across footpaths and has similar facilities. The famous village of Corfe Castle is only four and a half miles away.

Bournemouth and Poole are within easy reach via the Sandbanks/Studland Ferry or by road via Wareham (a small market town). Other tourist destinations such as Monkey World, Bovington Tank Museum, The New Forest, Lulworth Cove, Dorchester and Weymouth are all within easy driving distance.
